Adele's titanic '21' went with the demo versions; Ashley Greene shares a Wilde moment

Rihanna, above at the opening of the 40/40 Club at Barclays Center, says she’ll appear with Jay-Z during his run there.

Sorry, Knicks — Rihanna has switched sides!
At the star-studded opening of Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club in the billion-dollar Barclays Center, the “We Found Love Singer” revealed her loyalties are now in Brooklyn.
With her mentor’s Brooklyn Nets.
“I have to support the Nets, they’re part of my clique!” she told Confidenti@l Thursday night.
Rihanna, who hours earlier flew in from London, looked stunning, as always, in a pajama-style, currency-inspired Acne Studios ensemble.
As “Birthday Cake,” her duet with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, played in the background, she revealed she’d be appearing on stage with Jay during his sold-out run — and that there’s no place she rather be.
“When [Jay-Z] calls, I go,” Rihanna told us.
Jay looked pretty sharp, too — dressed in a black tux and bow tie. But he was missing his most fabulous accessory, wife Béyoncé. Earlier in the week, Hova denied reports she may be pregnant again.
Jay spent the night glad-handing the stadium’s investors on the eve of Friday’s night first show.
Among those congratulating him were New York Police Commissioner Ray Kelly and former Warner Group music executive Lyor Cohen, who noted that Manhattan’s elite once wouldn’t dream of traveling to Brooklyn.

“In the ’80s, we were afraid of Brooklyn,” Cohen told us. “We wouldn't come here!”
The new digs also have the approval of Roots drummer Questlove — so much that, well, we’ll let him say it: “I don’t wanna sound like the guy who’s like, ‘I got a box here,’ but, um, I got a box here.”
Sometime after midnight, the DJ put on Jay-Z’s New York anthem, “Empire State of Mind.”
Midway through the song, he stopped the track, grabbed the mic and shouted, “Brooklyn, represent!”
For the first of what will surely be many times, the place went wild.
ADELE SIMPLY GRAND
You know all those songs you love on Adele’s “21”? Most of them were demos. The singer, who is about to give birth to her first child, decided after recording several songs with legendary producer Rick Rubin to scrap all but four, Rolling Stone reports in its “Women Who Rock” issue on newsstands. “She wanted to try to recapture a simplicity from the first time around,” said producer Jim Abbiss. Adele’s “21” has sold nearly 10 million copies and spent more weeks on the Top 10 than Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”
GREENE’S WILDE SIDE
At AMC Broadway’s premiere of “Butter,” Ashley Greene gave a smile-y “Yes” when we asked if Olivia Wilde was a good kisser in their love scene. Alicia Silverstone says she wasn’t on set when it was taped, but admits, “I wish I was in the scene … YEAAA.” Afterward, all three women headed to Double Seven for the after-party. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
MIKE & CATHY’S B-DAY
Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, 25 years apart in age, celebrated their joint Sept. 25 birthday at Bemelmans Bar in the Carlyle Hotel on Tuesday. An eyewitness tells us the Hollywood power pair sat at a private table and drank wine: “Michael was in a great mood and they seemed very much in love still … He held her hand at the table and kept smiling.” After about an hour, they headed to Barbara Walters’ home for a party attended by Barry Diller and Oscar de la Renta.
CHEZ ANDRE’S FINAL CALL
After a three-week reign that started during Fashion Week, Chez Andre will close Saturday night, ending its reign as the city’s hottest club. “True Blood” star Alexander Skarsgard won’t miss the hotspot’s farewell bash. “I’m in New York until Sunday and I’m gonna party it up — boom!” he told Confidenti@l at — where else? — Chez Andre. Skarsgard boogied until early Friday morning, but should have checked his dance moves. He knocked down someone’s drink, and was too busy twirling a pretty brunette to notice.
