By Richard Esposito
Actress Julianne Moore had more than $127,000 worth of jewelry stolen from her New York City apartment, according to police officials. The jewelry was swiped from Moore’s Manhattan brownstone between June 6 and Aug. 28, when her residence was being renovated, officials said Wednesday.
During that time, 15 to 25 construction workers had access to the entire house, according to the police
report. There have been no arrests.
Seven of the 10 pieces of stolen jewelry were from Cartier, including the most expensive item of all, a $33,000 Cartier platinum diamond tennis bracelet. Four Cartier watches valued at a combined $77,800 were also taken.
Moore’s assistant filed the report to police about the missing jewelry Oct. 1. The “Boogie Nights” actress shares the home with her husband, director Bart Freundlich, and their two children.
New York City’s Buildings Department lists three permits, filed in July, for interior renovation and plumbing work, according to The New York Times.
The brownstone has been on the market twice in the past few years, the newspaper reported. The six-bedroom home was most recently listed for $12.5 million.
Moore, 51, recently won an Emmy for her portrayal of Sarah Palin in the HBO movie, “Game Change.”
