Futures briefly tick higher after data

5/10/2012
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stock index futures briefly edged higher on Thursday after data showed new U.S. claims forunemployment benefits dipped last week, allaying some concerns about the slowing economic recovery.
S&P 500 futures rose 8.3 points and were above fair value, a formula that evaluates pricing by taking into account interest rates, dividends and time to expiration of the contract. Dow Jones industrial average futures added 45 points and Nasdaq 100 futures gained 11.5 points.
