Priscilla, Lisa Marie Presley surprise Elvis vigil fans

For the first time, Priscilla Presley and daughter Lisa Marie appeared together at the annual gathering. Elvis died at home in 1977 from a heart attack after battling prescription drug abuse. He was 42.
"You should see this from our point of view. It's amazing," Priscilla told the crowd, reports AP. "The candles are lit. It's truly a sight to behold."

Some teary fans laid flowers on The King's gravesite, where Presley's father Vernon, mother Gladys, and grandmother Minnie Mae Hood Presley also are buried.Lisa Marie Presley told the fans she appreciated their devotion to her father. She also acknowledged she hasn't been at past anniversary vigils. "I've always avoided this because I felt that it would be too emotional, but I really felt it was important to come down here tonight. I love you very, very, very much."
